With over 10 years of experience in financial and internal audit, Marius is a seasoned professional in the audit field, involved in both the private and public sectors.

 

Marius began his audit career in 1996, at PwC (formerly Coopers & Lybrand Romania), where he worked for almost 8 years as an Audit Manager/Supervisor/Senior. During this period, he coordinated and participated in audit engagements of financial statements on various standards – IFRS, statutory and US GAAP – for companies in industries such as manufacturing, distribution, financial services and telecommunications, along with consulting projects for financial planning, capital market and compliance.

 

Since 2020, Marius has held top positions in audit and financial professional services firms in the top 20 companies in the field.

 

Throughout this period, his expertise has covered:

– preparation of the audit strategy and plan, as well as risk management, in both the private and public sectors;

– developing work programs for assigned audit projects and engagements;

– organizing and conducting audit missions;

– coordinating audit teams, providing support and reviewing the work performed;

– monitoring progress, budget and deadlines for assigned projects;

– evaluating work procedures for audit missions;

– preparing audit reports and other deliverables related to assigned engagements;

– reviewing financial information in preparation for transactions and applying procedures agreed with the client regarding financial risk areas;

– maintaining constant and transparent communication with clients.

 

Marius is a member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania (CAFR) since March 2008 and of the Authority for the Public Supervision of Statutory Audit Activity (ASPAAS), certifications that confirm his competence and professional integrity in the field of statutory audit.
